Below is a list of notable cemeteries in Greater London. It forms part of the List of cemeteries in England.

This list does not try to be complete. Only cemeteries which are notable and can be visited are included.

Churchyards and graveyards that belong to churches and are still in existence are not included. Ancient burial grounds are excluded.
The list includes separate sub-sections for the Magnificent Seven, the crematoria of London and a list of cemeteries that no longer exist.

Criteria for inclusion in this list

Notability criteria

Cemeteries on this list are notable for fulfilling at least two of the following categories:

1. The cemetery has listed buildings or structures

2. English Heritage identifies it as notable (e.g. by placing it on the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens or other publication by EH)

3. It has special historical value (such as the Magnificent Seven)

4. At least five people of note are buried in the cemetery (with biographies in Wikipedia)

5. The cemetery has secured Green Heritage Site accreditation

6. The cemetery is on the UNESCO World Heritage List

Excluded from this list are:

1. Cemeteries not meant for humans

2. Cemeteries that do not meet above criteria

The Magnificent Seven cemeteries were the first commercial cemeteries constructed around the outskirts of London. They are all of special historical value and are on the English Heritage lists. (Click on the little symbol after the name of a column to sort that column)

Moravian Burial Ground	Not a traditional cemetery. Featured in a separate article.
Royal Burial Ground	Located at Frogmore, not considered a "regular" cemetery (and strictly speaking not in London).
Royal Hospital Chelsea Burial Ground	Part of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Many monuments for Chelsea pensioners.
Royal Hospital Greenwich Cemetery	Part of the Royal Naval Hospital.
St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle	As a Royal Peculiar it is not considered a "regular" cemetery (and strictly speaking is not in London).
St Paul's Cathedral	Burials and memorials are not considered a "regular" cemetery.
Westminster Abbey	As a Royal Peculiar it is not considered a "regular" cemetery.
